Cela is Pregnant and due Oct. 24. Cela - DOB: April 25, 2001 dark fawn pregnant female Sire:CAVA Cargual Night Rider Dam: CAVA Danica. Cela has great density and good conformation but is a little shy on leg coverage. Her sire is jet black and her promise of producing dark colour has come true. Cela was held open because of the border closure so just birthed her first cria, a rose grey male, Slipstream, on March 24th. He has a fabulous blanket with tight little curles. Slipstream is out of light fawn Almanzo who is a fleece champion and multi ribbon winner. Almanzo has consistently placed in the show ring competing in a total of six halter competitions from 1999-2001 and placing each time. Susan Tellez spoke of his fleece - "extreme density and extreme expression of crimp, very uniform throughout" Almanzo's fleece still feels like butter at 7 years of age. Slipstream has now been sold however we are breeding Cela back to Almanzo for another great cria next year. Cela is offered at $5,000

Cherie - DOB: Oct. 2, 2007. Colour: dark brown (mahogany) and whtie. Sire: Major-B. Dam: Laurie's Bella. Cherie is a lovely little female with wonderful deep mahogany fibre. She had a pretty rough start to life with loosing her mom at 3 weeks old. This little girl is a real survivor. She continually bugged another mom until she adopted her. They became so attached that you could not tell which was the natural cria and which the adopted one. Cherie has grown well and is shaping up to be a very valuable female with excellent character to her fleece and reasonable density. Her sire is dark fawn, full Bolivian, Major-B whose fibre is very fine and his fleece is very dense. (His fibre stats on March 11, 2003 were AFD 19.5 SD 4.5 CV 22.8 with 1.9 microns over 30. On April 14, 2004 his fibre stats were AFD 22.1 SD 5.5 CV 24.8 with 5.2 microns over 30.) Cherie's mom was true black with a bit of white on her like Cherie. Shadow Princess DOB: Feb. 12, 1998 Colour: black. Sire: Legacy. Dam: Rita. A princess she is. Quiet, she ain't. One of our most endearing alpacas, this one definitely does not stay in the shadows. A master break-in artist, she is now giving classes to the others. This affectionate, curious, sweet tempered and noisy lady will win your heart immediately. All of her crias have also been endearing in their personalities and curiosity. Shadow Princess just produced the most amazing little boy out of our Solar de Peru son, Hi Flier.
