So much to do and so little time! This is the situation that we are faced with.
All the kids are married with two of them living away from us in different cities. We have 2 grandbabies and another due at any time. And to top it all off, Stew and I have now turned 60. So the years are passing quicker than ever.
We have decided that it is time to get out of the physical farming.
But, we are not getting out of the alpaca industry! We are going to continue brokering for other breeders but we need to free up some time.
Consequently, our whole herd is up for sale. All registered in both the US and Canada.

SOLD Turning Tide's Aurora - DOB: June 3, 2002 fancy female Colour: dark fawn, light fawn and white Sire: Full Accoyo 4Peruvian Presidente 6002 (white) Dam: Chantilly Lace (medium fawn). This 1/2 Peruvian Accoyo female has excellent coverage and conformation just like her full Accoyo sire. Her dam comes from very dark brown and grey blood lines so Aurora offers lots of potential for coloured offspring. Her dam is also the offspring of Acero Marka's Rockamundo who is possibly the finest fibred male ever imported into North America with a 13.6 micron at 20 months. Rockamundo histogram done in April of 2007 is still only 22microns with only a 7.5 % >30. That is phenomenal for a 13 year old male. To add to Aurora's list of attributes, her dam, Chantilly Lace has produced two Champions (grey and black) and they both won two years in a row. Aurora produced a fancy boy out of multi-ribbon winner light fawn Almanzo on June 21, 2007. Sonar, has gorgeous fibre and excellent coverage. Since Aurora has grey in her background and her cria have had very fine fibre, we have bred her to our finely fibred grey herdsire, Mario, for a fall 2008 cria. This should be a very exciting offspring. |
